The Project:

It is well known in the industry that broadcast companies demand and expect the highest quantity of installation with built in redundancy (Zero downtime) due to the nature of their business. This was perfect for us as we pride ourselves and build our reputation on installations of the highest quality and reliability.

FOSS was engaged at the very beginning of this infrastructure project by Injazat systems that had overall responsibility to deliver the design.

FOSS Solution:

FOSS assisted in the overall system design and won the contract to deliver the first building structured cabling and the cross site campus wide fibre optic cabling and connectivity. FOSS also carried out all the civil works which also included all the necessary Municipality approvals.

FOSS decided on a fully certified Systimax Cat6 UTP installation with a resilient and redundant Singlemode and Multimode fibre optic campus backbone. The main building involved cabling for a data centre of 20 plus cabinets, IDF rooms on each floor with due homing fibre backbones both Single and Multimode. FOSS carried out all the horizontal floor data outlets including all the under floor and vertical cable trays.

MDF/IDFs were connected from the other Buildings back to the main building by 100% diverse fibre cables in a diverse underground duct system designed and installed by FOSS.

Result:

The campus network including the internal structured cabling infrastructure project was delivered early and has allowed the first tenants to take up residence early in 2009.
